Once the nervous system begins to settle and the body feels lighter and more comfortable, the next phase is physical development and rehabilitation.
This work focuses on postural alignment, strength, proprioception, and the horse’s functional soundness. In partnership with therapy, we address long-held tension patterns, encourage balanced movement, and support the horse in finding ease through its body.
Barehoof development and rehabilitation are integral to this process. Healthy hoof form influences posture, balance, and overall biomechanics. Through appropriate hoof support and movement-guided development, horses often regain more natural comfort and performance capacity.
Every horse’s journey is unique. Development and rehabilitation are tailored to the individual — taking into account history, lifestyle, physical presentation, and emotional state. The goal is not speed, but sustained wellbeing and confidence in movement.
